There are always a lot of questions when it comes to fitness classes. Below are answers to some of the most common questions I’ve received. There are obviously a lot more questions, so feel free to get in touch with me through the form at the bottom of this page, and ask away.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT ON CLASSES AND A WEIGHT LIMIT ON THE TRAMPOLINES?
All the classes have an age limit of 16+ and are all restricted to ladies only. Please note that nay 16-18 year old needs to have their parents consent to take part in the classes and they will need to sighn the relevant forms for them before they can take part in the class.
The Boogie Bounce trampoline is manufactured to a weight limit of 350lbs or 25st.
WHAT IS THE CLASS ENVIRONMENT LIKE?
You will be in the dark, with flashing lights and lasers! Loose yourself in the music and the darkness.
CLUBBERCISE® - GLOW STICKS
You will need official Clubbercise® glow sticks to take part. We will not allow any other brand or version of glow sticks in the class due to health and safety and insurance purposes. You can purchase glow sticks when you book online in the packages area for £5.00. The glow sticks are reusable where you can replace the batteries in them when they become dull, and they have a glitter UV effect where you have a range of options for which setting you want to use.
BOOGIE BOUNCE GRIP SOCKS
You will need grip socks to take part in any Boogie Bounce class. Without grip socks you will not be allowed to take part and will lose your class for that session as it is advertised everywhere and you agree to this when booking the class online. You can purchase official Boogie Bounce grip socks online in the packages area for £4.50. You are not allowed to take part in normal socks, slipper socks, trainers or bare feet.
ROUTINES & CHOREOGRAPHY
Beatz - Easy dance choreography to workout to, it includes low to high level tracks and is aimed for beginners to medium level fitness.
Clubbercise® - The choreography is a blend of easy-to-follow dance, toning and combat moves with high and low impact options to suit all abilities.
Boogie Bounce - The first couple of times you will probably feel like Bambi on the trampoline and you will struggle to bounce to the beat – this is completely normal! If in doubt – freestyle the hell out of it!
Funky Step - If you’ve had a bad experience with step before don’t panic – this class will change that. We break down the routines bit by bit and eventually at the end we will put them all together. You will work as a team to deliver a great routine at the end! Trust me – everyone manages it!
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME TO THE CLASS?
You will need to bring with you a sweat towel, for Clubbercise® you will need your glow sticks and also a water bottle – filled with water. If you are doing Boogie Bounce you will also need your grip socks.
DO I NEED TO BE FIT TO TAKE PART IN CLASSES?
The workout is as simple as this, you get out of it what you want to get out of it. You’re more than welcome to take it easy if you’re returning to exercise – you don’t need to go mad if you don’t want to, or if you want to go hardcore and go for it, that is absolutely acceptable and we will support your workout either way!
WHAT CLOTHES DO I NEED TO WEAR?
You need to wear clothing that is suitable to exercise in. A good sports bra, good leggings that don’t fall down is also great along with worn in comfortable trainers. If you can wear neon clothing – amazing! Clubbercise® is all about the neon clothing, but this is not necessary if you don’t want to go all out there. Boogie Bounce, you will need grip socks to take part - no slipper socks, normal socks, trainers or bare feet.
WHAT TIME TO I NEED TO ARRIVE TO CLASSES?
Yes, you need to arrive 5-10 minutes early as in Clubbercise® we try and get the face paint out and get you glowed up before the class starts and we need some time for you to get glowed up. For Boogie Bounce you need to be there 10 minutes early in order to set your trampoline up. You also need to make sure on your first class you are there 10 minutes early in all classes to complete a PARQ form, without this you will be unable to take part.
WHAT IF I AM PREGNANT?
If you are pregnant you need to seek advice from your GP and we would need a signed doctors note. As a general rule, it would be a no to taking part unless you have been with us for a while and that would be a separate conversation we would need to have before booking.
WHAT IF I HAVE AN INJURY?
If you have an injury it is vital that you tell us before your session - it is at Paige's discretion if you take part on the day, if for any reason we turn you away because you have notified us of an injury on the day in the class then you will not be compensated for your loss of class and it will not be transferred. If it is a serious injury you need to seek advice from your GP. If you have got an previous injury and you are worried, please seek advice from your GP.
BOOGIE BOUNCE - WILL I NEED THE TOILET?
The majority of people will find once you start Boogie Bounce, you might have a bit of leakage. Don’t panic – it is completely normal if you do. Just pop a Tena lady on and keep visiting the toilet when you need to, we normally have a break after every couple of songs but you are more than welcome to just go when you need to go.
BOOGIE BOUNCE - WILL IT BE OKAY ON MY JOINTS?
Yes! NASA even agrees that bouncing is ‘the most efficient and effective exercise yet devised by man’. Studies by NASA scientists show that bouncing on a mini trampoline is 68% more effective that jogging and yet requires less effort! You can also develop both upper and lower body strength just as effectively as weightlifting without the strain or threat of pulled or torn muscles. If in doubt though – seek your GP’s advice!
